Did you try to update from the terminal or the Synaptic Package Manager?

Both.

Do you have a internet connection? more specifically, when you go to 91.189.88.31 in Firefox on that machine, does it work?

Yep, I can get there on FF http://91.189.88.31/ubuntu/ just fine.

Most importantly, did you reload your sources list before updating?

I did this:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
