As for #46, you could have ran `sudo /etc/kernel/postinst.d/apt-auto-removal ; sudo apt-get autoremove --purge` after reboot. I don't know, if you can configure unattended upgrade to do purging, as well.

As for #47, it is the matter of Bug #1458204
