ubuntu apt does not use Greek launchpad translations

What's the point in translating downstream if the apt (apt-get command in precise) does not use greek launchpad translations?

Specifically:
https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/precise/+source/apt/+pots/apt/el/234/+translate
https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/precise/+source/apt/+pots/apt/el/+details

The current greek in Launchpad is "Λήψη:", but apt-get in ubuntu 12.04 uses "Φέρε:" the official translations from upstream.

Example: LANGUAGE="el_GR:el" LANG="el_GR.UTF-8" LC_ALL="el_GR.UTF-8" sudo apt-get update

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

This may be related to the build system APT uses or the template name in Launchpad. The launchpad translations for APT have "libapt-pkg" as their template name, APT expects translations for "libapt-pkg4.12" (that is, the name includes the library version).

Hi, does this mean that it probably affects other languages as well? apt package seems to be packaged with its own translations (if I'm not wrong).

... Shouldn't they be provided with the language-pack-el ?
