I have the same bug. I kill that process, but it appears again after some time. I haven't any Software Center or apt-get running, just Firefox, Kate, Transmission...

This is Ubuntu Natty on a HP Compaq laptop wih a Core 2 Duo. Should I/we report it as a new bug?
