Thanks for reporting this bug.

This bug is a duplicate of #497796, comment 10 in that bug points to this (https://bugs.launchpad.net/apport/+bug/497796/comments/10).

If you haven't run apt-get update (ie no package cache) or use a mirror, apport detection of non-official packages does not work.
