I think there's a bug with mktexpk and mktextfm:
I get the following:
kpathsea: Running mktexpk --mfmode / --bdpi 600 --mag 1+0/600 --dpi 600 cmtt7
mktexpk: don't know how to create bitmap font for cmtt7.
kpathsea: Appending font creation commands to missfont.log.
page: Warning: font `cmtt7' at 600x600 not found, trying `cmr10' instead
