Bug Description
Binary package hint: apache2
As described by this bug https:/
The fix has landed in Apache trunk, so should be part of Apache 2.4, but there is no indication that they're going to backport to 2.2. I was hoping the Ubuntu package could apply it. The patch on 2.2.16 linked in the tracker worked properly for me on the Maverick package. I'd be happy to provide a 2.2.17 version if necessary.

It's not an unreasonable request, but i'm not aware that lack of this feature causes a demonstrable regression or other bug against another package. Therefore it really should have a FinalFreeze Exception from the release team.
If you could provide a 2.2.17 patch or debdiff, it would certainly help get this moving
Additionally, if you are comfortable following the instructions here... /wiki.ubuntu. com/FreezeExcep tionProcess# General% 20Instructions

It would be a big help!
Thanks.
