Curiously I tried running the post installation script ( /var/lib/dpkg/info/apache2.2-common.postinst ) by hand and it returns 0 rather than 1 i.e. no error

Also, marked as a security error not because I found a dangerous bug but I figure not being able to update ones apache could well prove to be security problem on a productions server, sorry if that's incorrect!
