I'm using hardy.
I haven't found the init script /etc/asound.conf, instead I have /etc/init.d/alsa-utils
I don't have an asound.conf file in /etc and alsamixer does not create it.
I noticed that after a sudo /etc/init.d/alsa-utils restart and a pulseaudio -D I can hear the same noise.
How can I build a correct asound.conf for my distribution ?
