Comment 6 for bug 988098

Same problem for me, no headphone slidebar.
When i plug headphone jack, sound is muted on speaker slide, i need to raise the volume by hand in alsamixer.
Not possible in the gnome sound preferences

Ubuntu 12.04 64bits, Asus G73SW, HDA Intel ALC296VB.
