Scratch the last workaround I posted. At first it appears to improve the situation however under more severe load the problem resurfaces.

I found that one somewhere and tried it myself before I reported the bug, it didn't help me at all. Hopefully someone will come up with a solution soon. I hate not being able to listen to my music.
