@Nikola, I have now run the codec in an emulator, and it seems like this problem is fixed upstream. I would advice you to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules to try the latest upstream code - but those are not yet available for oneiric. :-(
