I should have looked here first. Yesterday I posted a question https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/111941
Is this possibly the same thing?
Also, I noticed the following post https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+question/111040 In that case an upgrade to alsa 1.0.23 solved the problem This upgrade is also recommended by https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshootingProcedure
Is it a general problem of ubuntu 10.04 that it installs different versions of alsa?
Driver version: 1.0.21 Library version: 1.0.22 Utilities version: 1.0.22
Thanks!
