With your drivers, I actually couldn't get any output on the headphones. When I removed your package and rebooted, I got the sound.

I am actually looking at this bug from a different perspective. I'm working on an embedded product with two cards: an HDMI output from a separate "card" and the jack output on the VT1708S codec. I'm looking to get some sort of jack sense notification out of ALSA so I can handle it in PulseAudio and mute the HDMI output.
