additional needs to be done for your codec.
At the worst, one can just revert the change in
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf.

Daniel, do you think that the real fix is realistic in karmic timeframe
still? I would think everything that needs to get fixed in linux is
unlikely to happen :/ ... maybe we can come up with a
power_save_controller workaround in the meantime?
