Hi,

I would like to add my voice to the call for fixing this bug. I lost sound when I upgraded to Kubuntu 8.04. I have the latest version of linux-backports-modules-generic, 2.6.22.15.

I should add that I am running 32-bit Kubuntu on a dual core amd-64 machine.
