On my ubuntu 18.04 system I only have

/usr/bin/pulseaudio --start --log-target=syslog

owned by me. On my 19.04 system

/usr/bin/pulseaudio --daemonize=no

also owned by me. Note gdm is not running. I assume lightdm, which is running, is the alternative.
