From above mentioned reports on Ask Ubuntu people reported that avoiding hibernation or fast-boot of Windows succeeded in resolving the issue.
It may therefore rather be an issue with inappropriate hardware shut down from the Windows hibernation process than an issue of the Ubuntu sound system.
