you also need to find out the wcaps of node 0x3d since the last node in your codec info is mode 0x3c

have you ask Lydial Wang whether vt1802 has node 0x3d and 0x3e ?
do you mean no sound on both speaker and headphone ?

Hi everybody, this is the first time I add a comment on launchpad, so would you please excuse me if I write something inappropriate.
I have the same problem with the HDA Intel PCH VT1802 Alt Analog on my ASUS s200e. I've been trying for weeks, working with the alsa mixer, purging pulse audio, editing /etc/modprobe.
Nothing worked.
Reading some forum suggesting to try a downgrade, i tried xubuntu 12.04.04 from a live usb and woilà! everything works great.
But that's all.
xubuntu 14.04 doesn't work... ubuntu 12.04.04 neither..
so, why xubuntu 12.04.04 is so special?
I'm not able to answer, but if you do you'll find the solution....
I hope this could help...

Hi Raymond,
following your link I understood that is a matter of pins, connections and hda_codec.c. and that is a common issue for the hda driver to don't reach speakers or headphones but I don't understand what to do next? should I send you my hda-verb output? with which parameters? into my /dev/snd I have these:
by-path hwC0D0 pcmC0D0c pcmC0D2p seq
controlC0 hwC0D3 pcmC0D0p pcmC0D3p timer

Witam,
w najbliższym czasie Wszyscy musimy rozliczyć się z US za rok 2014. Przy
okazji tej możemy odliczyć 1% podatku na różnego rodzaju instytucje pożytku
publicznego. Bliźniaki Maja i Michał są zrzeszone w Polskim Towarzystwie
Walki z Mukowiscydozą. Jeśli jeszcze nie przekazujecie nikomu 1% swojego
podatku, a chcecie to zrobić, przekażcie go proszę na leczenie Majki i
Michała. W załączniku znajdują się materiały które ułatwią Wam wpisanie w
PIT niezbędnych informacji. Zachęcam też do odwiedzenia strony
www.apel-

Jednocześnie chciałbym serdecznie podziękować wszystkim osobom które
odliczyły swój jeden procent na moje dzieciaki w roku ubiegłym. Dziękuję.
*Pozdrawiam,*
