Additionally I needed to replace:

   rm /usr/sbin/mysqld-akonadi
   ln -s /usr/sbin/mysqld /usr/sbin/mysqld-akonadi

still an issue for 18.08.1. @dvratil so you check does not help here, because we need my_print_defaults in both cases.
