Follow-up to previous note:

I removed the two files
~/.local/share/akonadi/db_data/ib_logfile0
and ~/.local/share/akonadi/db_data/ib_logfile1

The result follows. It started the db but is missing a table. I will continue to look for old config files that seem to confuse it.
