Recompiling from sources akonadi-googledata_1.2.0-0ubuntu1.debian.tar.gz and libgcal_0.9.6-0ubuntu1.debian.tar.gz as described here http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=264861#c27 solve for me syncing contacts with google on Kubuntu Maverick amd64.
