Bug Description
Binary package hint: empathy
Currently as of Lucid, the "Ubuntu" theme for Empathy uses the same colors, regardless of the current theme. This looks jarring, especially when the user is using a light-on-dark theme, or a theme with a color other than white for input boxes.
If it's not possible to derive sensible colors for all the elements from the GTK theme, it would help if at least the background behind the text bubbles could be colored to match the current theme.
