I cannot change the screen brightness using the Ubuntu 10.04 using the 2.6.32-22-generic ubuntu kernel. The brightness is on full and cannot be lowered with either the Fn buttons or by running a command like echo 50 > /proc/acpi/video/VID/LCD0/brightness
