Comment 12 for bug 307645

Good news. To me at least. The frozen system is no more.
Two things: #1 - My pc doesn't have a GPU; #2 - Mint 8 had the Normal option checked on the visual effects tab "by dafault". It seemed to me that these two things were incompatible --feel free to correct me if I am wrong-- so as soon I checked the no effects option everything became ok, no more freezing (I don't know if the names of the tabs and options are theese in english, my Mint is in portuguese, and btw pardon my english).
