It happened to me while i was still running a live-cd session of Linux Mint 8. First with the RC1 then with the stable version. Half a dozen times. I was unable to install them on my pc. It is not a problem with the iso image I think, because I could install the stable version in a VM under Windows XP with no problems at all. And the checksum is correct.
There was no difference if I was surfing the web in FF, installing the distro or just away of the pc: sooner or later it would freeze.
Just like that. Mint 7 goes smootly in my machine though.
