Comment 4 for bug 210339

i tried Gutsy live cd on the same dell d400 and it had the same problem.

i forgot to mention that it also hangs when the laptop screen is closed and the power settings is set to blank screen on close.

after hardy and gutsy, i tried feisty. no problems with feisty on live cd, so i have it installed for the time being.

not sure if the problem would go away on gutsy after updates, but my internet is very slow at home, so i didn't want to wait to update only to find that it has the same problem. :)

Paul Tagliamonte - do you have the same problem when your settings is set to blank screen? if not, i might have a different problem.
