@slasher-fun : Well, I do have a huge amount of Load_Cycle_Count, since I hear them 5 to 10 times in a minute (today I have a total value of 1711 !!). I don't know how the Power_On_Hours is counted... With actual increase rate, my HDD will die within one year (he is only 3 days old)!

@Brian Visel and Sami Haahtinen : it is a good point that my HDD has (maybe) a nonstandard APM, but I checked/changed BIOS settings and used the Samsung tool (HUTIL) to check and set the APM settings (which are, since the beginning, set to non-agressive values, equivalent or equal to -B 254)... That's why I do not understand the cause of my problem, and make me say that there is maybe another cause to that "bug" which could come from a bad setting or bad deamon use in Ubuntu, as already suggested here.

It would be very usefull to know how many people have similar problem than me, to see if "just" using hdparm is a "good" (clean) solution to that f*** bug.
