I confirm on 2 DELL laptops, the 1st one 18 months old with Load_Cycle_Count around 900000, the 2nd one 1 month old with 25000. I just applied the hdparm.conf workaround as explained several time above.

This issue in "Wishlist" is inapproprate. It should be considered as "high" or "critical".
