Given the vbe saving/restoring performed with vbetool, the X option
should be entirely unnecessary. Possibly this needs to be done after PCI
state restoration - could you try removing the option from xorg.conf,
and then editing /etc/acpi/resume.d/17-video-restore.sh and move the
"Restore video PCI state" block above the "Attempt to restore some video
card state" block?
