@CyJambo, how did you get the microphone to work well?
Mine is still too noisy, and pavucontrol acts the same way as alsamixer...

Heartly thanks to all those who helped with the patches. Keep the thread up and let us know if there is any definitive solution.
Also, ubuntu is always asking me to upgrade hda-alsa-dkms. Last time i did it, it screw all up. I won't allow it again, should I? How to disable a single upgrade?
