Comment 70 for bug 783582

Sup folks. Proud owner of an acer timelinex 5830tg notebook. Thanks to this posting, i was finally able to get my laptop speakers to work. My laptop now feels somewhat more complete. The only issue I'm now experiencing is my laptop speakers not switching off when plugging in earphones into the audio jack. Appears to be a common issue among some people here. Hope to see a more permanent solution to this issue.
