Comment 60 for bug 531027

ABOUT SYSTEM AND UBUNTU VERSION I USE:
I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 on ASUS EEEPC 904HA, and I've a similar bug (i cannot listen the gdm sounds such as the user who reported this bug the 1st time). I don't know to which package refer the bug report.

ERROR MESSAGE:
(process:265) Glib_WARNING ** getpwuid_r failed due to unknown user id (0).

TO PRODUCE THE BUG:
It happens each time i turn off my computer without unmounting of external storage devices (such us usbstick).

HOW I FIX:
I can fix this bug starting the system from a live distro and executing sudo fsck /dev/<rootpartition>.
