i have a / and a /home partition (sda1 and sda5 respectively) as well as a swap partition.
I am using the ext4 filesystem
It is possible that I am just not waiting long enough (I waited at least 5 minutes though), but if that is the case i did not have to wait nearly as long in 9.04... (I also had the option to skip the check which I don't remember seeing)
Next time it happens (every 39 boots I think?) I'll try to wait 15 minutes or so too see if it ever does boot, but it definately appears to hang, at least. I assume that is related to the status 4 somehow.
Maybe the fsck prevents or interferes with ureadahead doing its job somehow?
