login fine with kde login manager or command prompt no gui fine
lock the screen in either kde or gnome and put your password in and it's denied but you can control-alt-backspace and login fine
I also have a weird xkb situation where I can select keyboard in kde but gnome complains.
xorg config is set correctly at a 105 key gb keyboard
