2009-11-02 10:47:12 Simon Baconnais description Ubuntu Karmic Koala 9.10 beta (64 bits), fully upgraded on 08/10/2009 With double (multi ?) screen, there is screen resolution problems. Configuration -> I configured Ubuntu to disable the screen on my laptop (1280x800), to use an external sreen (1280x1024). Usplash : The laptop screen isn't disabled, Resolution is ok for both screens. Xsplash+GDM : - The resolution is 1024x768 on both screens. - On the laptop screen that should disabled, the image is stetched to fit with the screen resolution (1280x800). - On the external screen (1280x1024), the image is stetched to 1280x800 resolution, and there is black strips on top and bottom. - After the GDM, during Gnome loading, the laptop screen is finally disabled, but the image on external screen still 1020x768, on the top-left corner and there still black strips on right and bottom. - When Gnome is laucnhed, it's all ok.
