I do not think this makes sense... I'm in contact with the Debian maintainer and we recognized several problems with the application. (e.g. it tries to write into /usr/share/smile/BIB_manslide)
So I contacted the author, but did not receive a reply for months.
SMILE is a very cool application, but I think the author does not understand English :-(
He doesn't react on forum entries and mails although he publishes new versions of SMILE frequently.
I will checkout if the issues are fixed in the most recent release and then try a FFe - Hopefully it works!
(Otherwise SMILE will be present in Lucid and Karmic user will have to use the GetDEB build.)
