Bug Description

Yesterday (March 13th), I upgraded my laptop Toshiba from Breezy to Dapper 5, and I found out that some menus don't have any text (I'm under the French version).

Here are 3 snapshots to show you

For your information, I did the same, one month ago, w/ Dapper 3, on another PC, and I did not have this problem, every icon had associated text???

Same trouble here (I'm French too). It only seems to appear before an upgrade from Breezy to Dapper.

Which language are you using? Is it French or Canadian French? I'd suggest looking in Rosetta (the translation section of launchpad.net) and see if those items still need to be translated.

Can you please try installing Dapper RC and see if that solves the problem?

Thanks for the comment update. You probably use an non-UTF8 locale and that was bug #29640 which is fixed now
