Ethernet module appears not to load using 2.6.27-11. Several users report similar at http://start.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1017057
2.6.27-10 works as expected on Ubuntu 8.10.
Wireless connection is not affected.
The problem seems hardware related. Acer Aspire One fails, while Dell 6400 works. |

The problem seems hardware related. Acer Aspire One fails, while Dell 6400 works. Occasionally, when booting to Kernel 2.6.27-11 eth1 will appear in Network Manager and connect. (Hardinfo confirms the module is loaded in this circumstance.)

A lot of netbooks (MSI wind & clones) can't use ethernet. It's a "big" regression since that was working. |
