Comment 88 for bug 296167

I'd recommend a downgrade of Xorg. It's taken my problem from once very hour (or more!!!!) to once every few days. I can now use virtualbox, firefox (with flash), and switch windows without holding my breath. I'd prefer a full solution, but if you don't want to downgrade to 8.04 then I reckon it's worth it (and painless).
