For what it's worth, I bought one of these mentioned in the description:
Bus 002 Device 004: ID 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode)
Without knowing that it was listed here, and it works flawlessly for me now. No clue why.
