The glassfish-* packages in Ubuntu are for GlassFish V1 packages. The idea was is to have GlassFish v2 ur1 installed independently of GlassFish v1
as parallel packages with different install locations. This will help prevent any incompatibilities between v1 and v2 causing any disruption to users who
already have a stable v1 based development or deployment environment.
In addition, GlassFish v2 ur1 provides an upgrade tool for users who might want to move their deployment environments to the latest server version
