I can't edit on the reference bug, so I put my comment here, still:

When I removed the lines it resolved the original issue.

However, I suspect this is not a valid workaround. I think you should be able to still use these lines, because with them you can configure your touch pad.
I mean, by removing the lines the issue is resolved but you can no longer configure your touch pad.

Am I right?
