I also found out that my touchpad mouse seems to be double clicking by default.
So, when I tap once, the mouse double clicks.

I have no idea how to disable this auto double click feature.
Perhaps this is "the bug" in Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04 Alpha 4"?
