I suggest that you add an OnlyShowIn to the .desktop file, so that we don't get two things called Terminal in the dash in Unity 7 sessions by default. And that you check that the opposite problem doesn't happen in Unity 8 (that you don't see gnome-terminal there) too, otherwise we should add a NotShowIn to gnome-terminal.
