Yes, I updated BIOS to the last available today (12.02.2017). This is

And the bug is still present on 16.04.2 with HWE kernel (4.8) and Xorg (1.18.4).

Of course you can now wait couple of months until new BIOS is released and waive off with "BIOS outdated" again ...
