Bug Description

Mupen64 is a great FOSS Nintendo 64 emulator. It would be fantastic if somebody would add this to the repos! I've been using getdeb.net for a lot of stuff, but some stuff isn't on it, Mupen being one of them! Also, there is a great open source graphics plugin that works better than the default included plugins called Glide64 (which works in OpenGL). Having those two easily addable to Ubuntu would make my life as a tech support guy easier. Lots of gamers are starting to use Ubuntu!

Thank You!

mupen appears to be unmaintained upstream. someone would have to be willing to become our "upstream" for mupen support.

That might help. I'm out. Too much lame drama and egos around here. I
swear somebody is working for Microsoft.

A package of the newest version (1.4) is already available at http://www.getdeb.net/app/Mupen64Plus. Maybe some MOTU can check it and eventually upload it to universe for Intrepid...that would be great.

Here is a PPA with packages (also 64 bit, which getdeb doesn't provide): https://launchpad.net/~phobie/+archive

Allisson, there's already Bug #430024 for the sync request. Also, Mupen64 != Mupen64plus (even though there's not many reasons to package Mupen64 now there's Mupen64plus). And there's already other bugs open to request Mupen64plus, I just opened a clean sync so it would be easier.

Also, Confirmed is used during the sponsorship process for these kind of bugs, especially since at this time it would be a FFE.
