Debian package available for lenny and sid: http://packages.debian.org/libwoodstox-java
lenny package installs fine on gutsy.

The Debian version has sun-java6-jdk as a build dependency, so I modified it to build with icedtea instead. Here is the debdiff.

It builds properly, as does libhiglayout-java (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/127595). Haven't tested freecol yet.

A new version, -2, has been uploaded into Debian, and now builds in Ubuntu unchanged. It can now be synced without Ubuntu changes.
