Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-savage

After 5-6 laptop wake-ups from suspend-to-RAM, the savage driver goes berzerk and each time you move your mouse around, the screen does not refresh, so eventually your screen is full of artifacts. Killing X does not fix the problem, it seems that the DRM driver is the one that breaks... I am using hardware cursor btw. The laptop is the IBM T23 and the S3 card is a SuperSavage IX.

The bug is reproducible when the DRM/savage.ko driver is loaded, you have just woken up the laptop from sleep, and then you kill X. When you restart X, the cursor creates artifacts in the screen, which never refreshes again until you reboot. Screenshot attached.

Also, if you could, please test against the latest development version of Ubuntu, since this confirms the bug is one we may be able to pass upstream for help.
