ubuntu@ubu-vm-01:~$ kvm-ok
INFO: /dev/kvm exists
KVM acceleration can be used
ubuntu@ubu-vm-01:~$ ls -la /dev/kvm
crw-rw---- 1 root kvm 10, 232 Mar 20 12:17 /dev/kvm

Interestingly I couldn't find any indication in the 4.10.0-041000rc3 changes file that point to this functionality ...
